Obstruction sleep apnea is when someone’s breathing becomes shallow and stops intermittently resulting in very poor sleep quality. The side effects of obstructive sleep apnea are poor health condition that is obesity and deteriorating of life quality due to the sleeplessness. It can also damage the brain at some point if not detected early more so it affects alertness due to the effects on the brain that is very dangerous and unhealthy. By losing weight is one of the first things sleep apnea victims should think of as too much weight deteriorates the condition big time. This is one of the common causes that leads to sleeping apnea the victim should try and weigh less to prevent the muscles from contracting due to too much fat in the body.

By avoiding alcohol the victim will be one step ahead in getting rid of sleep apnea thus people with such conditions should keep off alcohol at all costs. Obstruction sleep apnea victims must not use sleeping medication as this has been proved to contribute to the suffering of the condition big time. By sleeping sideways the victim will be at fewer risks of snoring and having severe gasps during sleep as the positioning of sleeping contributes a lot in this condition.
